This is a significant milestone for us and reflects something we’ve believed in for a long time, that a great business should balance profit with purpose, and measure success by more than just the numbers.
What is B Corp certification?
B Corp certification is an independent verification that a business meets high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. It looks at how a firm operates across five key areas: people, clients, community, environment and governance.
In simple terms, it recognises businesses that are committed to doing the right thing, not just for today, but for the long term.
Why we chose to become a B Corp
The South West has a strong track record of values‑led, independent businesses, firms that are deeply rooted in their communities, take a long‑term view, and care about the impact they have locally as well as commercially.
When we first explored what B Corp really stood for, it felt like a natural fit. The principles behind the certification closely align with how we already work with our clients, our team and our wider community.
The assessment process was robust and detailed, involving a year‑long review of our policies, processes and impact. While it was challenging in places, it also reaffirmed that our values are embedded in how we run our firm day to day.
