Penny started her accountancy career specialising in owner-managed businesses at a regional firm as a school leaver in 2012. After completing various qualifications and qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2018, Penny quickly became a senior member of staff, taking on larger clients and diversifying her skills.
In early 2019, Penny made the move to Griffin where she has further developed her knowledge by taking on a portfolio of academy audits and excelled in overseeing the services of our more complex academy trust clients. Penny has worked on a variety of academy trusts, all varying in terms of size (from single school trusts to multi-academy trusts).
Penny has worked with academies throughout her time as an accountant at Griffin as well as her portfolio of local businesses. She has a solid track record of delivering practical help and guidance to support her clients. Penny has a down to earth, approachable manner and clients are always complimentary of her friendly nature, as well as the ease in which she is able to explain sometimes complicated accounting points in a manner that everyone can understand.
