Accounts Senior – Honiton office

Griffin Chartered Accountants are looking for a well organised individual to join the firm’s accounts department. You will be part of a small, but growing team, based in our Honiton office. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience of working in practice to enable them to hit the ground running. This role woudl be well suited to someone with the AAT qualification or is qualified by experience,

The role will be varied, involving a mix of accounts preparation and tax, as well as having the opportunity to get involved with internal and external audit work if this was of interest.

If the successful candidate was not already qualified and wanted to become so, support could be provided for further studies towards the ACA or ACCA qualifications. This includes paid time off to attend college during the working day and college fees would be paid in full by the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

• Compilation of accounts for limited companies
• Preparation of tax returns for individuals and companies
• Bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Supervising and reviewing work of more junior staff

As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will work closely with the manager and will have the opportunity to shape their own role as the firm continues to grow.

Salary dependent upon experience, qualifications and whether study support is provided.
