Nick Clegg has announced £5m of funding to help boost tourism in the South West. The money will be administered by VisitEngland and used to create a new strategy for the South West.
The key aims will be to “Increase awareness of the South West as a tourist destination in Europe and beyond”.
The money will be used on areas such as:
– Building travel itineraries offered by travel operators
– Promoting transport links between Bristol, Exeter and Newquay
– Help for smaller businesses to make their products relevant to international audiences
